IAA’s Undergraduate Scholarship Is Now Open
Innovate Animal Ag has opened applications for the Future of Animal Ag Scholarship (previously the IAA Poultry & Aquaculture Innovation Scholarship) for the 2027-2028 academic year.
Innovation in animal agriculture is hard; between the underlying biological complexities and high capital costs, it’s difficult to discover and spread transformative ideas. The Future of Animal Ag Scholarship helps support visionaries who are capable of rising to the challenge. The scholarship awards $3,000 to undergraduate students who are passionate about technology and planning to work in poultry or swine production after graduation. Applications are now open and close November 20.
Students must meet the following criteria to apply:
Graduating high school seniors and full-time undergraduates enrolled at a U.S. or Canada-based two- or four-year accredited institution for the 2027-2028 academic year
Pursuing a degree in Animal Science, Agricultural or Biosystems Engineering, Agribusiness, Agricultural Economics, or a related field focused on advancing animal agriculture through innovation
Planning to work in animal agriculture after graduating, preferably with a demonstrated interest in poultry or swine production
"We're proud to support the next generation pushing poultry production forward," says CEO Robert Yaman. "New technology doesn't transform an industry on its own. It takes people who understand the realities of production — the biology, the economics, the thousand things that can go wrong in a barn — to turn good ideas into standard practice. These students are the future innovators and leaders of animal agriculture, and we're investing in them now."
