Introducing the IAA Poultry and Aquaculture Innovation Scholarship
Technological innovation in the poultry and aquaculture sectors faces challenges. Between the underlying biological complexities and high capital costs, it is difficult to discover and spread transformative ideas. But technology has the potential to radically reshape these sectors and unlock new efficiencies; it just requires visionaries who can rise to the challenge and push beyond.
In order to recognize and support the next generation of leaders driving innovation within these sectors, Innovate Animal Ag is launching the IAA Poultry and Aquaculture Innovation Scholarship (IPAIS). This scholarship will be open to undergraduates and graduating high school seniors from agricultural backgrounds who are studying fields relevant to poultry or aquaculture and who are planning to work in these sectors after graduating. Students will have the chance to win $4,000 and career advancement within their respective sectors. Applications will open August 15.
“New graduates today are entering one of the toughest job markets in years, and students from rural and agricultural backgrounds often face even greater barriers to opportunity,” says Robert Yaman, CEO of Innovate Animal Ag. “Innovation in poultry and aquaculture depends on finding the right people—scientists, engineers, farmers—ready to tackle complex, real-world challenges. With this scholarship, we’re investing in students who understand those challenges firsthand and giving them the support to lead the next wave of progress."
